CHANGE OF LLANYRAVON SURGERY OPENING TIMES

We wish to inform those who use our Branch site at Llanyravon Surgery that the opening hours will be changing from 10th January 2022.

The surgery will close each weekday at 5pm.  If you require medical services after this time please continue to use the normal Llanyravon Surgery telephone number 01633 833770 and your call will be dealt with in the normal way. 

Medical Services if required will be provided from our Main Site at Cwmbran Village Surgery, Victoria Street, Cwmbran, NP44 3JS between 5pm & 6.30pm.

Please be aware that if you are ordering prescriptions and wish to collect them, you will need to do so before 5pm.  This also applicable to anyone wishing to attend or collect from Llanyravon Surgery.

Changes to Pharmacy Managed Medication  Request Service of Previous Patients Of LLANYRAVON SURGERY

As of the 4th April 2022 the pharmacies will no longer be able to order your medication on your behalf. All pharmacies have been informed and are aware of these changes. During the next 3 months we will be informing all patients affected by this change. Please see below information regarding these changes and hopefully answers many of your questions. If in the meantime you have any queries or do not understand any of this information, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery.

COVID BOOSTER CLINICS

5-6.30PM We will be running emergency services only - if you do not have an urgent medical problem, please can we ask that you call back after 8am the following day.

We will be running booster clinics for those aged between 18-29yrs old. An allocated appointment will be sent to you via text and/or letter.  The clinics will be on

Monday 20th December - 5-9pm

Tuesday 21st December - 5-9pm

Tuesday 28th December - 10am-6pm

PLEASE CAN WE ASK THAT YOU ATTEND YOUR ALLOCATED APPOINTMENT TO INSURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR VACCINE BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR.

ATTENDING THE SURGERY

We ask our patients to not attend the surgery if they are suffering from any of the symptoms and to get a test as soon as possible and self isolate. We also ask that you only attend the practice if you have an appointment or have been asked by a GP or member of staff to attend.

We want to reassure everyone that doctors are still seeing patients but to enable the practice to safely do so and adhere to the social distancing rules we can only allow a total of 8 patients in our waiting room at one time. Please use the queuing system in place and once in the surgery there is a one way system.

Prescriptions are still being processed as normal (48hrs processing time) Please do not order any earlier than your medication is due, do not stock pile or over order your medication. We ask all our patients to reduce the footfall and exposure in the surgery and order their prescriptions by:

ACCESS

GP Surgery Consultations

In line with Government Guidelines & Rules all Patients entering the surgery will be required to wear a facemask.  If you do not have a facemask one will be provided but we do encourage our patients to use these sensibly. Please can we ask our patients to abide by these rules for their safety, other patients and our staff.

All information regarding our latest services is available now within our Website.  Please use the navigation buttons and links to keep up to date with all the new measures we have put in place including pictures of the new set up to allow social distancing and safety for the most vulnerable among our patients.  PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE NOW RETURNED TO NORMAL BOOKING PROCEDURES.. No routine appointments will be booked until AFTER 9am.

We now have a Facebook Page that you can follow which will also be updated with all our News and Services.  Please keep a close lookout for some further information regarding our very different Flu Clinics coming up shortly.

PRESCRIPTIONS

We now have a dedicated post box outside our building. To further help with reducing the footfall into the surgery, we have made it much easier to sign up for our online request service My Health Online. 

We will no longer be accepting routine prescriptions via email.  We would ask that everyone uses the dedicated requesting service of My Health Online.

You can now complete the application form online and email this along with your 2 forms of ID to the practice.  Please email these to enquiries.w93027@wales.nhs.uk

It will take up to 48hrs to process and all Registration details will be with you.  IT'S AS EASY AS THAT!

TELEPHONE & VIDEO CONSULTATIONS

Doctor contact with patients will initially be via telephone/video.  If you are happy to receive a Video Consultation please let the receptionist know when booking. If a face to face consultation is required an agreed date and time will be given.
